tv thoughts

What in the hell was Catherine thinking with that dress she wore to have dinner with her parents? Marg Helgenberger is an attractive woman, and that dress just was not right for her. Who knew they could make fat rolls appear on a woman as thin as she is?

I don't really get what the point of that Cam Mitchell side story was. I mean, I guess I know now that he has guilt issues over past choices in combat, and that he feels the same need all the rest of them do to share the secret with somebody. And? Really kinda pointless to me.

McKay's fantasy Sam managed to be seen in an undergarment that was the most functional, least sexy thing I've seen in a TV show. It was blue and that's about all it had going for it.

Not that anyone cares, but I've decided I'm going to tape SG-1 and Atlantis and watch them, but I'm not keeping separate Stargate/Atlantis tapes anymore. I love Ben Browder and I'm glad that he found some work after Farscape, but I miss Jack more than I thought possible for a fictional television character. I mean, it's still Stargate, but something's missing. The beginning of the season went well, but now that the new's worn off, I'm just not enjoying it like I used to. That aside, the programmer working on Teal'c was smokin'. Talk about a bad boy vibe.

What in the hell is going on on Lost? Has everyone lost their minds or forgotten that each of them have -something- ugly in their past? I loved Charlie's line (paraphrased for lack of memory): "Kate sees a horse, and no one blinks an eye, but Charlie has weird dreams and everyone just assumes he's using again." What is Locke doing with that heroin? He gets creepier and creepier and I really wonder what he's hiding. I don't want him anywhere near Aaron, yet at the same time, he seems different around Aaron. I actually understand Charlie's motivation in keeping the Virgin Mary statues as a test to himself. It's a dangerous way to test oneself, but I've done it. Every day that I knew it was there and didn't touch it was another day away from the person I hated and didn't want to be anymore. I hate to lose, so I didn't.

Jack? An army? Um, Others? Methinks you've pissed off the wrong guy.

I was pretty impressed with Charlie's ability to take stitches to his face without screeching in pain or flinching. Not sure by far that I could have managed that.

Wish they'd get off the ground with that Jordan/Woody thing, or move on. Geeeeeez. I'm really getting tired of the will they/won't they, and I'm not just talking about the sex, since they've crossed that hurdle. I like the mature attitude Woody's taking, but criminy, he's not a rebound guy - he's been around before and during all the rest of them, so enough already!

Charmed has been off for several seasons now, and I'm just biding my time, waiting for the end of the season to see if they manage to close all the plotlines semi-believably. I'd love to see grown-Chris again, but that's not likely, I guess. Really odd about the whole moving out on their own thing, when it was a biiiiig deal last season that they couldn't, that they had to stick together to keep the Power of Three at its strongest. Hasn't Phoebe earned her powers back yet?

I am loving Medium - Joe and Allison have the best get-mad-and-get-over-it relationship. I love that he's conflicted between accepting her gift and wanting a traditional family. This last week, with Ariel and the baby trading rooms. I especially loved that she convinced Bridgette(??) that not having her own room was okay, because if she shared a room with the baby, she'd get to move to the top bunk. lol

Invasion - I'm still watching, but I think it's for the pretty, because I just have nothing really to say about it.

Tess said yes to Dave. I am avoiding spoilers as much as I possibly can with the series being 4 seasons ahead of those of us watching WE, and though I know that eventually she and Nick get together, I don't know if she marries Dave first. I hope not. They just don't belong together.

I borrowed all three seasons of Roswell from a friend, and I started on them last night. I'd forgotten that the first episode did not include the Dido theme. At least on the DVD, there was never any break to run the theme/credits after the teaser. I'd also forgotten how hot Brendan Fehr is. {fans self}

Definitely with you on the Medium thing! I usually tape it & go to bed early, & then I sort of torture myself with it for a couple of days, thinking, "Yeah, tonight you can spend time with the DuBois family, & won't that be nice?" & I feel all happy. *g*

I think the Charmed writers were totally stunned at having another season to play with, and had no storylines left to write. At a complete loss, they fell back on the old standby of recycling old plots. I'm sick to death of the "are we going to move out or stay together" plotline. They've done that, what, three or four times already? I don't care where they live, get over it!

Charmed is one of the few shows that I wish had been cancelled. The ending of the last season was a decent conclusion, and resurrecting it for a new season has just made it suck. (I don't know if you know the story, but they didn't get the word as to whether they would be renewed until after the last episode of last season was already filmed. But the whole false identity thing was forced and horrible, and they should have just let dead be dead.)

Yeah, exactly. They then had to backpeddle to find a way to get the regulars back into the show, and then it seems they are completely out of plots. It's a shame to see a show that I've enjoyed so much flounder so badly.

They did it to Lauren Graham on the episode when she tried on her wedding dress. Talk about boggling the mind...
