For the first time, Carrollton will participate in a national event DIVERTING tons of recyclables from the landfill. We'll be in the Newman Smith HS parking lot from 9am to 1pm. We will have vendors who recycle electronic equipment, appliances without freon, cell phones, car batteries, car tires, durable medical equipment, casual shoes, carboard, paper, used clothing, scrap metal, brush, yard waste, etc.
Everyone who wants to recycle will drive through and our high school volunteers will unload whatever you bring. We will also record what we're diverting from the landfill, making Carrollton eligible for funds from Keep Texas Beautiful.
We all take pride in our surroundings. Keep Carrollton Beautifull serves as a catalyst and community liaison to make Carrollton a cleaner and more beautiful place to reside. Keep Carrollton Beautiful is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to beautifying our community and providing valuable programs to enhance the quality of life. Our leadership is provided by a volunteer Board who work with all aspects of the community. Joining Keep Carrollton Beautiful brings out the best in our community, attracting tourism and businesses.
