For those others of you who are looking to replace Google Reader for your newsfeed, I've tried several things in the last month, and NetVibes comes closest to the appearance I want, with the ability to rename feeds (so I know that Argh Ink is Jennifer Crusie, for example or Way Beyond Normal is Dani Harper) in my display, and rearrange how my feeds are listed. It also shows me JUST the "headline" so I can skim for the things I want to read first - I neither need nor want pictures or blurbs or anything else until I click on something. When I click, it expands to give me the blurb or compacts to make the blurb go away. I can change the category under which something is listed by just dragging and dropping.
So far, it's been exactly what I wanted to replace Google Reader, you know, since I have to replace it.
Importing from Google Reader was a hassle, but once I found the tutorial for it, I accomplished the whole thing in less than five minutes.
So, NetVibes for the win! At least for my needs.
