RDM's Helix

Saw the first trailer for Season One of Helix, which is set to air on Syfy in January, I think.
It's a teaser trailer, and frankly, only inspired remote interest in watching. It gave me none of what I watch TV for: 'ships. There were a couple of voiceovers over mostly horrorish visuals, and no people really interacting. I watch TV for the people and how they form relationships with and around each other, Ron, not for the trying-to-scare-me horror. The real horror for me comes from watching how whatever-the-thing-is impacts those relationships, either destroying them or creating stronger bonds.
Probably why I don't get much out of horror things like Nightmare On Elm Street or Friday the 13th: I don't care about any of the people. They don't establish any sort of tie, just start making out and getting dead.
