What a sad day for me (and other people, too, but for me).

Long-time Texas Democratic congressman Martin Frost was trounced by Pete Sessions, who by all accounts I've read of his voting record, is my personification of Evil. OK. Maybe not Evil, but evil.

I toyed with the idea of moving to Australia, but really, what would that accomplish? There are probably things I wouldn't like about Australia, too. And besides, this notnew regime is not stealing my country from me.

I've been thinking about getting more involved, politically, on a local level - more involved than I was during the months leading up to this election. Today's concession by Kerry (aka Bush's win) has cemented my thoughts. I am running for school board next year. I have the booklet from the state giving me the requirements. Now it's up to me to fill out the required paperwork and tell everybody and their brother and their cousin's dog that I am running. So, you guys are the first to know. That I am truly insane. And that I am eschewing proper grammar in this entry.
