Well, that was special.
Oct. 27th, 2004 10:48 pmGot see bits and pieces of the lunar eclipse tonight. Never fails that when I actually have time and remember, there is cloud cover. But tonight, someone was working hard in the metroplex, because the clouds were hauling ass out of the way.
I did get to watch about 20 minutes of the totality, but then more cloud cover moved in, appearing to be never-ending despite being swift-moving, so we came back in.
It was still impressive despite being hit and miss. I enjoyed sitting out in the night air with Kid, watching the moon. She enjoyed it, too, until I made some comment about spending time with me being such a joy, and she rolled her cute little chair off about 15 feet. Hee Hee.
Mom's prerogative to creep out the kids with weirdness from time to time.

Date: 2004-10-28 05:56 am (UTC)I was doing a bit of work and needed to see in order to time it correctly. I kept having to remember where the moon was so I could catch a glimspe between clouds.
It went well though. :)
