Stories on ff

Is there a secret to reading ff dot net stories on my Kindle? I can't figure out a way to print it to a PDF, or send it anywhere, or even to see the whole story on one page.
Gods. I hate reading on ff. Why do people like it so much? Higher traffic, maybe?
There are several stories I want to read, but don't have time to read *right now*, and there's no way to save them for later like there is on AO3, so I've been sending the links to myself in emails, but it's getting a little ridiculous. I like to read longer stories on my Kindle - I save them for bedtime reading.

Date: 2014-06-09 02:29 am (UTC)You need the Calibre extension (and you need Calibre if you don't have it!) called FanFictionDL. You can stick in a FF.net URL and it will make an ebook for you. I hate reading long stories on the computer and between this and AO3 and FLAG, I never do.

Date: 2014-06-09 02:44 am (UTC)I do have Calibre, not that I've ever figured out how to use it, and I've added the extension to my Firefox (which is apparently the only browser it supports). So when I type in the ff URL, how do I even see the extension to make it work? I can find the extension when I go into my settings, but otherwise...
Sorry. Some things, I'm super competent, but this is not one of them.

It's been so long since I used it that I'm having to install an update. I'll give it a try when that's finished. :D
