Random update
Aug. 26th, 2013 03:20 amMy Dollhouse DVDs came on Saturday from swapadvd. I'm eager to rewatch now that I've seen BSG and will apparently recognize about a dozen faces. Plus, I get to watch Tahmoh be the almost-star of the series. lol My BSG season four request is at number one, so the next season four that gets posted is mine! In the meantime, I've finished rewatching season two and got through the election in my longfic. I hadn't touched my longfic in nearly a week, so it feels good to get that part behind me.
Today is the 17th anniversary of the day I got divorced. Never a happier day existed, lemme tell you. Well, okay, the day my kid graduated from high school. Oh, and the day my grandson was born. But my divorce is definitely in the top five. :D
Today is also the birthday of a dear friend, whose wife and I have been friends for (counts, runs out of fingers and toes, gives up) a really long time. Okay, not quite that long, just 33 years. Sheri's birthday is a bittersweet day because she's not around to celebrate with us anymore. She was the life of the party, and a fantastic-yet-exasperating wife, to hear B tell it, and she was a really gifted chiropractor, who cared about her patients' whole beings, not just their spines. The first year I spent a lot of time texting back and forth with B when she couldn't sleep from missing Sheri so much. The grief is still overwhelming at the oddest moments, and probably a thousand times worse for B, who was married to Sheri for ten years.
B started dating again last year and she got married again this summer. Not in Texas, of course, because in Texas it's still onemanonewoman. Freaks. They had to go to NYC to get married, which is just ridiculous in 2013. I don't know the new woman very well yet, but she makes B happy, and that's really good to see.
Now, off to see if I can make that last kink idea move from my brain to the computer so I can post it before they post the round-up today.
