to this fine institution of higher learning...
for only putting closure information on the website. I checked every channel for closure information and found none. Set out, took 45 minutes for a 15 minute drive, almost wiped out in the parking lot, twice, got to the door and the building is locked. Waited about 15 minutes and the 2nd head honcho of the School of Management showed up and let the two of us who were waiting into the building. There were a total of 7 cars in a 70-car lot.
Get to my office, boot up my computer and check my email. Three, count them, three, reminders that the University is closed until noon.
I realize that perhaps every single State employee should, for the convenience of the University, have internet at home, but I don't.
I could have gone back to bed and stayed there until 10am
Grrrrrrrrrr.
ETA: And further Jeers for making people who didn't come in until noon take vacation time to make up the difference. I wouldn't have wanted to waste 4 hours of vacation time, so I'm glad I made it here normal time.
