TV thoughts

I'll just try to put this in week order, but I'm sure something will
get put in out of order, because there are too many to remember. And
yes, I am a TV addict, why do you ask?

Charmed - why am I still watching this? It's lame now and the only
redeeming grace is Alyssa Milano in her revealing outfits. They can
never remember to call each other by their new stupid names, and the
whole thing is just ridiculous. Alyssa's voiceover this last week was
in such a childish voice I just wanted to slap her. Hellooo? You're
nearly 30. Talk like it.

Crossing Jordan - I sure was hoping for that Jordan/Woody pairing, but
they'll have to work damn hard to get me to believe they're even
friends now. I'm really curious what's going on with Macy, because I
don't believe that he's come back and everything's just going to be
hunky-dory. And what the hell purpose did Henry Winkler serve? We
knew he was an ass with the first interaction. Did Miguel Ferrer need
some time off?

Surface - I'm reserving judgment on this one. I'm still not
enthralled, and there's only one more episode to catch me before I
take it off my to-do list every week.

Prison Break - you had me at Dominic Purcell. Then you added
Wentworth Miller, who is growing hotter with every single
supposed-to-be-emotionless smouldering glance. He's been on Buffy -
wheee, now I'll have to go back and watch season two again, darn the
bad luck. And he was the hot bad guy on Joan of Arcadia, which was
just getting really interesting, show-cancelling morons. Then you
also added Sarah Wayne Callies, who is much better than her previous
stint on Kimz boyfriend's ex-show would imply. I read a great fic
from my flist, and resisted a mere day before seeking out more. Alas,
it is neither plentiful nor good, with few exceptions. This week's
episode has me correcting more than I'm typing, I was so excited. The
Hug. So good. The chemistry between Michael and Dr. Sara is all but
visible and reaches out of the TV and grabs me. {fans self}

Medium - this season has not gotten off to a good start. It's been
interesting, and I'm still watching, but it hasn't captured me the way
it did last season. It's an odd enough concept that I'll probably
keep it on the TiVO, but I can wait until I've seen Prison Break twice
to watch it. Heeee! Love the theme music though, still.

Bones - again, reserving judgment. I like David Boreanaz, but not
enough to keep watching this show if it doesn't get better. I don't
like the pseudo-chemistry between him and Bones, who is NOT Dr. McCoy,
thankyouverymuch.

Supernatural - this has its moments, like the music and the hotrod and
Amy Acker, but for the most part, I just don't really like it. I
don't see Dean every time Jared opens his mouth, which is good, but as
a whole, this is not good enough. Last night's viewing (I time-shift
everything) was the third and probably last. Buh-bye.

SVU - I watch this because of the subject matter, and it almost never
fails to deliver. This week - wow! Mariska was amazingly emotive.

Lost - Yes, I'm still watching avidly. No, I don't care if they drag
out the reveals all season. Sayid is hot. Jack needs to get laid,
and I don't care who does it. He's strung way toooo tight. If we get
to see some shirtless Jack in the process, I'll manage to cope.
{snicker}

E-Ring - Still not getting this. One more episode. Benjamin Bratt
still looks good without a shirt, but it seems to me like they're
doing it intentionally to keep us girls watching. Um, whoever? It's
not working. I'm getting ready to can it. As a military brat, I'd
really like to like this one, too.

CSI:NY - I'm still not privy to whatever casting shakeups are going on
over there (everyone's tip-toeing around the rumors, and no one is
coming out and saying whatever it is), but I liked the first episode.
Not enough Melina, in my opinion, and I liked the ME guy better as a
wannabe than out in the field.

Invasion - haven't actually seen this one yet. Have the second ep on
tape, but waiting for the premiere from somebody else. I expect that
I'll need to watch it in order to really decide if I want to keep it.
I like William Fichter (sp?), so we'll see.

CSI - Same old CSI, and still addictive. More Greg, please. Missed
the first episode and am waiting on a tape from a friend. I'm sure I
missed something, but I'm also sure that it doesn't matter if I see it
out of order.

Without A Trace - this was fraught with emotion, and I sense a
possible wind-change in the Martin/Samantha thing, though I've been
wrong before. Martin's dad is an asshat.

Threshold - like this better than Surface, and may give it more than
three episodes for me to get it.

Numb3rs - I don't like the new girl. I hate the actress' voice and
the character is annoying and, imo, not believable as a field agent.
Love the family interaction. Poor Charlie needs to get that it's OK
to talk about whatever your passion is, even if that passion involves
work. It makes for a better date. Some steamy sex wouldn't be a bad
thought, either. The chemistry's there. I say go for it. Just kiss
her already.

McLeod's Daughters - still loving it. Knowing what's coming up in
future seasons keeps me going. I have to see how they get there.
Yes, I know you have no idea what the hell show I'm talking about.
Too bad. It's good. You're missing out.

Things that fell by the wayside that weren't cancelled:
Smallville - I wanted to watch this, because James Marsters is going
to be recurring, but I just don't have room for it.

Everwood - I hear it's back and better than ever, but again, no room,
and last season wasn't enough to make me HAVE to see it when it
returned. Moving it to Thursday was bad - no room there.
