My head, my head and other things
Oct. 13th, 2004 10:02 pm...will not stop hurting. I want to just rip it off and throw it at the TV. I do not want to listen to W, but I have been too busy to get up and go in the living room and turn the darn thing off.
I cannot go to Fall Classic. I am so disappointed. In 2005, I am going to go even if I have to leave Kid home alone (OK, I won't -really- do that, but geeeeeez).
The PTB's at UTD work in mysterious ways. I have a copy code and a nameplate for the wall outside my office. Computer access, email, key to my office, phone, ID card? Not. Seems to me like they should make your first day at work about getting all of that stuff done so that you can get on with working. I finally got computer access today, with a guest account, which allows me internet access but not very much else. Every time I accessed Word today to do something, it tried to reinstall it. Gah! Plus the person who is ostensibly training me and was bringing filing in for me to do so I could at least pretend to be busy, called in sick. I understand she does this a lot, and once I have access to everything, I'm supposed to contact the appropriate HR person and request a report about her absences and use of sick leave. Gotta hate that.
