Musings on recent TV
Oct. 26th, 2005 12:38 pmMedium: My favorite lines from last Monday's episode - "A rerun? What a rook." and "My very own Boy Scout Jamboree." I love that relationship.
I also love Allison's relationship with Detective Scanlon. At first nearly nasty, once convinced, he's almost her staunchest advocate. He's solicitous and considerate. He's not afraid to touch her if he thinks she needs a pat on the shoulder or a hand hold. I think what rings truest of this relationship is that despite the chemistry, they just interact. There's no hidden agenda. The truth is, many het men and women experience chemistry with people other than their significant others, even with people of their own gender. All evidence to the contrary, it's not necessary to actually do anything about it. It's OK to just accept it and allow it to be a part of your universe. Everything doesn't have to be about sex.
Numb3rs: I loved the visual of the three Eppes men stopping in front of the front door mirror to check their appearances, one at a time, like little ducks waiting to enter the stream behind momma duck. I still contend that if Charlie would just kiss Amita already, things might get better.
Threshold: I thought there was something wrong with that Senator. He just didn't seem right to me. Where's the UST? Gah! Brent Spiner's acting in this one was fabulous.
CSI:NY: Casual Mac in his weapons lair is fairly attractive. Nothing like a man with a sword. lol I'm liking the ME guy better, and I definitely like the new Montana girl.
There's probably more, but that's what springs to mind right now.
