words to define
May. 31st, 2005 03:15 pmI like finding words of which I've never heard and for which I cannot
extrapolate the meaning from context.
I found three such words during the last couple of months.
coeval
adj. Originating or existing during the same period; lasting
through the same era.
n. One of the same era or period; a contemporary.
apercus
n. pl. 1. A discerning perception; an insight. 2. A short outline
or summary; a synopsis.
ergolated - this one I couldn't find at dictionary.com and haven't had
a chance to find an unabridged paper dictionary. Anyone?
