Apparently, I got in such a groove the other night listing things that I wasn't as careful as I should have been. I was just reviewing my listings and found *three* items with mistakes. One of them was the wrong damn book! Sheesh. It's fixed now. I hate to imagine the negative feedback if someone had already seen those and started bidding on them. Horrors.
On a positive note, my listings seem to be percolating along nicely, now that I've made myself start working at it again.
Anybody have a clue where to go to get Middle Eastern rugs appraised? I've got three that are allegedly fairly valuable, and I don't want to undervalue them when I list them for my client.
Some of the proceeds on specific items are being set aside to (at some point in the future) start a fund for my mother's lifelong dream of having a pagan land sanctuary. J has purchased us a domain for five years, and someone who knew mom has kindly offered to host us and help out as much as possible. Now I just have to learn how to build a web page. A good one. Anyone have suggestions for the easiest software to use that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I can get almost anything MS at little to no cost if I know what I'm looking for. I've built something I really like in Publisher, but can't get it to load and don't have a clue what I'm doing wrong. Basically, I just don't have a clue what I'm doing, period.
Kid is now on the *fourth* level of discipline for first-period tardies - in school suspension. Plus, she got an extra day of iss for failing to serve two days of regular after-school detention. I agreed to this, since I didn't believe A when she said she wouldn't get in trouble for not going. I told her so. She also got grounded for five days because I told her that if she got one more detention, I'd ground her. The worst thing to her is that I told her anything over a week old on the DVR would be deleted once I watched it and she'd be SOL. A told her VP that it was my fault she was late all the time, because I wouldn't drive her to school every day. Give me a break! A half-mile, one way, ten minutes tops. Her problem is that when I go to wake her up at 7:30, she doesn't get up. I don't even care if she wakes up, so long as she gets up. She doesn't get the distinction. So, long about 8:05, her friend knocks on the door, and A finally gets up out of bed and starts to get ready. She has to leave at 8:15 or she's late (do not ask me how it takes longer than 25 minutes to walk a half-mile. Even I could do it, and I'm horribly out of shape. Unfortunately, this has to get nipped in the bud now, because the next step is suspension. The VP said she would talk to her and be less friendly and sympathetic this time, so maybe A would get that I'm not the only one mad about this.
