Lost - spoilers ahoy!
Oct. 16th, 2004 06:23 pmTerry O'Quinn is an astounding actor. He has the most amazing ability to communicate with nothing but facial expressions.
I missed the teaser and credits because I forgot to set my VCR and came home 4 minutes late, but I read it in somebody's lj.
I had not a single clue that he'd (his character, anyway) been unable to walk (for however long) prior to the plane crash. The expression on his face and the body language as he was attempting to stand upright and his apparent immediate acceptance of the change and running to Jack's call for help. The changes in the tone of his voice, from authoritative to resentful to angry to kind and on and on.
A far, far cry from his days on JAG.
