Thirty Days of Fandom Writing: Day Twenty-Three
When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?
I post everything to AO3, no matter where I get the prompt and whether or not it's BSG. Most of my BSG fic also gets posted to my fic journal, unless it's too long. I hate the formatting part of posting as regards to LJ, so if I have to break a post up into parts, it feels like way too much work.
I post very rarely to ff, and only G or PG things. I much prefer the tagging capabilities on AO3, so anything above PG gets thoroughly tagged when I post it.
I post commentfic to
bsg_kink and
bsg_epics and to other comms when I'm responding to a challenge.

...and now I'm trying to remember how we first connected? I must have come across your fic on AO3 when I was marathonning BSG.
I also hate formatting for LJ, it can be so fiddly and time-consuming. I also way prefer reading on AO3 because of the uniformity of style and format, so I've mostly given up posting on LJ.

It is time consuming. I write with the html in there, so all I have to do is copy and paste, but hitting the posting size limit is a pain in the ass.
And yes! Reading on AO3 is marvelous. It's all the same size, and all the same font, and I don't have to futz with it to get it big enough to read, or worry about the color of the font being too light for my aging eyes.
My fic journal is lucywritesfic, and I post most BSG things there, but I created the fic journal for people who are strictly lj readers, and it was before I discovered the wonder of the universe that is AO3. :D
