I get why it might be difficult to see Kara with someone else, at least in your own head.

I guess in some ways, I was lucky, in that I saw an AU where Kara could be with Helo and be happy pretty quickly. Not that I was any less a K/L 'shipper, but that I caught glimpses of a Kara that was very different with Helo than she was with Lee.
