Sadface. CBS has cancelled Intelligence.

On the one hand, that sucks, because it was the first show I've truly enjoyed since I watched BSG for the first time two years ago, and the only other show to make my muse sit up and take notice. On the other hand, one season of shows gives me a lot of room to play if said muse ever really bites on the ideas she's dropped in my prompts doc.

Dang.

That always seems to happen, doesn't it?

I feel bad that Intelligence was cancelled to. It wasn't perfect. It was a bit uninspiring in terms of plot, but I adored the cast and the energy of the story telling. I spent a lot of time comparing it to The Blacklist which had a great fall but fell off for me for many of the reasons Intelligence worked, the cast and their balance of chemistry throughout. Blacklist has an equally interesting concept that I don't think they fully explore, but the cast is so uneven. They have one stand-out. Two actors who have the energy I look for in leads, but aren't. And the female lead, who the show equally hangs on, is quite frankly weak. not sure if it's acting or writing, most likely, ultimately both. Or if she's just being overshadowed by a unnecessary wig. hee.
