Written for [livejournal.com profile] bluuefiire for her birthday.

From the prompt: Do not imagine your OTP in the kitchen cooking breakfast together, one standing at the stove as the other is hugging them from behind, resting their heads on the back of their neck and stealing sleepy kisses. I promise this will cause fluffy-cuteness overload and is not good for your health. (Tumblr - OTP Prompts)

It's a week early, but I'm thinking maybe you could use a little early pick-me-up. [[[hugs]]]

Happy Birthday!

Posted a wee bit early because I'm impatient and couldn't wait any longer. :D

From the prompt: imagine your OTP having lazy morning sex, eyes half open, early-morning sun washing across the bed, sheets tangled around their legs. it’s nothing too intense, warmth and messy tenderness, faces burrowed into each other’s necks and pleasure shivering down their spines. This was written as a birthday gift for [livejournal.com profile] suzy_queue, who is not even a BSG fan. The idea struck me to write her a story about books, though, and this is what came from it.

I took liberties with the myth, assuming that without books, Kara would remember details sketchily, if at all, and fifteen years would have further degraded Kacey's memory of what Kara had told her.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] newnumbertwo for the beta!

I certainly didn't set out to write a sad story. I hope that despite that, you appreciate the idea of a young adult holding a book precious for its memories.

Happy Birthday (early), S!

As for warnings - there are things that happen to Kara in this AU that are not good, and some references are made to that, but they are distant references, nothing specific. Nonetheless, if a character thinking about someone's past assault is triggery for you, please be warned. I'd rather overwarn than underwarn.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] laura_mayfair and [livejournal.com profile] afrakaday for pinch-hit beta on this, and to [livejournal.com profile] afrakaday for the title.

This is a gift for my badass (:D) beta, [livejournal.com profile] newnumbertwo, for her birthday, and so that she has something to hold on to when Kara's ride gets rough. Here's your happy ending, my friend. <3

I know it's going up early, but since tomorrow's a work-day, I wanted you to have time to enjoy it at your leisure.

This is a gift for [livejournal.com profile] laura_mayfair, whose birthday has already started on the East Coast. It was inspired by her fic, When Heaven Is Beautiful.

Happy Birthday, my friend!

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] newnumbertwo for the beta, and being patient while I dithered, and for reassuring me that a Laura Roslin fan would still like this Karacentric story.
